Culture
Västerås offers a diverse range of museums and cultural experiences for all ages and interests. Museums have entered a new era. Visiting a museum today often engages several senses, giving us the opportunity not only to see, but also to feel and listen.
Västerås konstmuseum
At Västerås Art Museum, you can see Swedish and Nordic contemporary art in beautiful old industrial spaces. There’s also Konstlabbet, a creative workshop where both kids and adults can try making art themselves.
The museum has a unique collection, mainly featuring Swedish artists, with a selection on permanent display. If you’d rather see art outside, the museum also offers regular tours of Västerås’ public art.
And the best thing? Entry is always free.
