Erikslund shopping center (Livli)

Erikslund is where shopping truly takes off. The retail area covers around 200,000 square metres, almost 28 football fields, packed with stores, cafés and restaurants. Inside Erikslund Shopping Center, you will find over 80 shops, including IKEA, as well as places to eat and relax. Some days it is buzzing with life, other days a little calmer, but always ready to explore.

Fun fact: The shopping area is now officially called Livli, but many Västerås residents still call it Erikslund. Don't be surprised if you hear both names, they refer to the same place.

City shopping

Shopping in Västerås city combines well-known brands with cosy independent shops. Everything is within walking distance shops, cafés, restaurants, galleries and historic landmarks. In summer, outdoor terraces fill up with life and conversation. In winter, the city sparkles with beautiful Christmas lights, worth a visit on their own.

Fun fact: it was here in Västerås that Erling Persson opened the very first H&M store in 1947.
